Aprilaire 6404 Zone Control Panel is designed for a 2, 3 or 4 zone system that can be applied to single or multi-stage heat/cool equipment or single or multi-stage heat pumps. When used with heat pumps, it also controls auxiliary and emergency heat operation. Staging is adjustable.Control up to 12 zones by expanding with the 6402 expansion panel. The Aprilaire Zoned Comfort Control system can work with virtually all low voltage mechanical or electronic thermostats. All zone thermostats must have an "OFF" mode to prevent unintended operation. If specifying an auto changeover thermostat, precautions must be taken to prevent condenser cooling mode operation during low temperature conditions, and heating mode operation (heat pumps only) during warm temperature conditions.-Discharge Air Temperature Sensor provides pressure relief flexibility-Adjustable staging options-4 wire thermostats simplify installation-Utilizes standard 2 wire dampers-Compatible with virtually all types of thermostats
